Does it have an automatic Daylight sensor?
Yes, It does have an Automatic Daylight Sensor (Optional Turn On): Hold for 3 seconds while the unit is on to activate or deactivate the daylight sensor. Lantern automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn with this setting on.
Durability & Maintenance
How many discharges does the battery handle, and can the battery be replaced?
The battery in our lanterns is designed to last 8 to 10 years, with a specific rating of 500 cycles at 100% depth of discharge. However, due to the integrated power management system in our lantern circuit, testing has shown that the battery capacity would decrease by only approximately 20% over 3 to 4 years with regular use. While we do not currently stock replacement batteries, we are actively exploring options to offer them in the near future as part of our commitment to product longevity.
Is the Outdoor Solar Lantern with Touch Control weather-resistant?
Yes, the lantern is weather-resistant. With an IP55 rating, it is built to withstand rain, wind, and sun, ensuring year-round reliable performance. You can confidently leave it outdoors in various weather conditions.
What material is it made of? How will it do in salty sea air?
Great question! Our Outdoor Solar Lantern is made from high-quality aluminum, which is rust-resistant and designed to withstand outdoor conditions—including coastal environments.
That said, while aluminum doesn’t rust like iron or steel, exposure to high salt levels and moisture over time can lead to oxidation (a natural process that may cause slight surface discoloration or pitting). This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the durability or functionality of the lantern.
For those in high-exposure coastal areas, we recommend occasional cleaning with fresh water to remove salt buildup and maintain the finish for years to come.
